Landscape; Trains; Travel and Fun..

Why?

I have always loved taking photographs, having travelled most of England Scotland and Wales with my father at the age of 10. I can remember getting my dads hand me down equipment. One of my favourites was an old Brownie.

Having spent 40 years working in Local Government I have been lucky enough to take early retirement, during all of those years I have maintained that passion for taking photographs.

When I first started work I attended night classes to learn more about photography. I can remember walking the streets of Walsall at night capturing light trails in Town, developing our own black and white images in the dark room and even had the excitement of attending a glamour model shoot. The enjoyment of those days fed my enthusiasm and creativity although it never really went beyond taking snaps for the family album and for my own enjoyment.

Over the last ten years we have all been overtaken by the digital age and social media, but those early day principles have never really changed. I have dabbled with photo shop and various apps to create something a bit different, that learning has come by trial and error and watching lots of You Tube videos. There is a lot I dont know or understand and if one good thing has come from a year of lockdowns has been the opportunity to learn and experiment.

I have decided to start this business for the purpose of sharing my images in the hope that others will gain enjoyment from them and will deem them worthy of display or sharing. After all, life has to be about sharing and enjoyment. I hope I can in some small way contribute to that.

Making Memories

I don’t know about you but I do find as I get older, it gets harder to remember things. The magic of photography is that those captured images act as a prompt for your mind. I am forever, trawling back through old pictures and finding lost memories.

By providing great quality prints these memories can stay with you too.
